Dear Parishioners of St. Elizabeth Seton,

Did you ever play “hide and seek” as a child, where one of us would close our eyes and everyone would scatter and try to hide? Once you could open your eyes, you would loudly declare, “Ready or not, here I come.” That is how I feel to  announce the date of our Jubilee Open House. Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. While not everything will be completed, it will be an opportunity for you to see the renovations that have been in the works since May 4, 2026.  

The purpose of the open house is to invite everyone to see the changes to the Adoration Chapel, Ministry Room, Sacristy, Sanctuary, Nave and Narthex. It is a time for you to have any questions answered about the finishes, colors, and purpose of the design. Representatives from the companies that worked on the renovation will be here to meet with you, talk about their role in the renovation and give you a chance to get to know them, as they have been a wonderful team to work with over the past months. 

We will not be celebrating Mass in the renovated church until Bishop Dolan consecrates the Altar and installs a relic of St. Elizabeth Seton later in November. This date is being confirmed with his office and once the planning is completed, we will share the date with you.   

Between now and November 7, we have much work to accomplish. From railing installations, hanging new doors, installing restroom walls, and numerous electrical projects, we will be busy. We depend on subcontractors to make St. Elizabeth Seton a priority. This becomes even more important with the announcement of the date for our Open House. This will be front and center during the upcoming weeks.  

I ask that you continue pray for the many workers who are helping us prepare our beautiful church. There are so many small details to be accomplished before we open wide the doors and bring our community back to sing, pray and rejoice in the renewed St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church.
