Baptism |
Preparation of infants, children, adults, and
sponsors for the celebration of Baptism. Classes are by
appointment. |

Bereavement
Counseling |
Conducted here by appointment, one-on-one or with
family through the Catholic Center counselors.

Blood Pressure
Monitoring |
Every
1st Wednesday of the month from 8-9am in Seton
Hall. |
|
Camillas |
Parish women who at the time of a funeral, offer
prayers and attend vigil services and/or the Funeral
Liturgy. |
|
Cenacle of
Prayer |
Men
and women meet Tuesdays to pray the Rosary for
vocations. |
|
Charismatic
Prayer |

Collection
Counters |
Under
the supervision of the Business Administrator these volunteers' tally and
deposit contributions and weekly offerings. |

Confirmation |
Preparation of Youth and Adults to receive this
Sacrament. |

Counseling |
By
appointment with the Catholic Center staff for those experiencing
difficulties in their life situations. |
|
Finance
Council |
Parishioners who work directly with the Pastor and
Administrator to discern financial and temporal needs of the
parish. |
|
First
Communion |
Preparation of children, youth, or adults to
receive the Lord in Holy
Communion. |
|
Gift Shop |
Volunteers from the Seton Society
manage our gift shop every Thursday AM and after
each Mass on Coffee Sundays. |
|
Helping Hands |
Provide assistance with shopping, doctor and
dentist appointments, for infirmed or housebound parishioners in need.
(Hands-on care is not provided.) |
|
Kitchen |
This
ministry oversees and coordinates kitchen use at various parish
events.

Knights of
Columbus |

Knights of Columbus Ladies
Auxiliary |
Catholic women who in concert with the men's
organization and through there own efforts serve and support the
Church. |

Legion of
Mary |
Prayer and apostolic activity devoted and dedicated
to the Blessed Virgin Mary. |

Library
Committee |
Completes a variety of services including review
and purchase of library books and electronic materials, and maintains the
Library. |
|
Lifelong Faith
Formation |
Religious education for elementary, junior high,
and high school students.
Enrollment is required and schedules will
vary. |
|
Marriage
Preparation |
Our
Pastor facilitates the process for couples wanting to be married in
the Church. |
|
Newcomer's
Welcome |
Greeters who contact new parishioners welcoming
them to our parish. |
|
Provides planning, development of goals or
objectives, and solicits consensus of parishioner opinion to aid the
Pastor and staff in the development of parish policies and
programs. | |
|
Prayer Chain |
Individuals who daily pray for injured, ill and/or
dying parishioners. |
|
Quinceanera |
A
celebration of a young girl's coming of age in the Hispanic culture. By
appointment only with our Pastor. |
|
This
ministry involves dedicated Catholics who mentor the faith for those
seeking entrance into the Catholic Church. | |
|
Returning
Catholics |
Drawing upon the wisdom and guidance of the RCIA
group these Catholics are heartily welcomed into a renewed relationship
with and reliance upon Catholic faith and
traditions. |
|
Seton Women's
Society |
Meets
every Thursday for social activity, craftwork, fund raising, and
mission sewing. |
|
Social
Justice |
Our
Pastor in collaboration with the Bishop, parish priests, and laity
advocate for social change and justice in regards to the rights of unborn
children, the homeless, the mentally ill, the abused,
etc. |
|
Solo Group |
A
group of widowed, divorced, and single Catholics who need to feel
connected to others. This
group does not represent itself as a singles group but rather a group
where members can share interests, activities, friendships, and travel.

Spiritual
Direction |
By
appointment with our priests or deacons for spiritual or faith related
concerns. |
|
Organized by our Business Administrator and Finance
Council to encourage parishioner commitments of their time, talents, and
treasure in support of the Parish. | |

St. Vincent de
Paul |
This
is a division contact of SVDP; and, an outreach and assistance program for
our parishioners and residents of all denominations in Maricopa County.
Call 623-583-7303 if you need assistance from SVDP.

Transportation
Ministry |
These
are volunteers who drive our parish mini-bus. On Sundays and Holidays,
they pick up and return those parishioners who reside within our parish
boundaries and need a ride to our church. One-week minimum notice is
required for pick-up. |
|
Trips/Travel
Events |
Occasional day trips are coordinated for the
enjoyment of participating parishioners either using our mini-bus or
commercial transportation. |
|
Vocation
Ministry |
Prays
to support efforts of the Diocesan Office of
Vocations. |
LITURGICAL
MINISTRIES
|
Altar Servers |
Men,
women, youth, or children who have received their First Communion and
who have completed special training to assist the priest and
deacon at the altar during Masses and other special
services. |
|
Eucharist
Ministers |
Men
and women who have completed special training to assist in the regular
distribution of Holy Communion at Sunday, Weekday or at Special Mass
services. |
|
Funeral
Ministry |
Men
and women who attend funerals as Greeters, Lectors, and
Mass Servers. |
|
Funeral
Outreach |
Men
and women who upon request cook, bake, serve, or deliver food to
family members of the deceased.
This can be arranged for in-home delivery or at receptions in
our Seton Hall. |
|
Hospitality |
These
are joy-filled people who love to greet and welcome our
parishioners and other church guests. They seat churchgoers, take up
contributions, distribute bulletins, and secure the church. Adults, and teens are welcome to
participate. |
|
Lectors |
After
suitable training and practice, these men, women, and teens proclaim God's
Word at Mass and other church services |
|
Ministers of
Care |
Bring
Holy Communion to shut-ins, residential care homes, nursing homes,
convalescent centers and other areas within our parish boundaries to
parishioners who are physically unable to attend church.
|
|
Music Ministry (Choir and
Musicians) |
They
enhance any liturgical celebration by singing and/or playing
instruments. Weekly practices are September through
May. |
NOTE: CTP Classes are required for most ministries or services.
